Lynsey has had the blessing of being raised in a dance studio much like Linda D'Amico's Academy of Dance. She began her dance education at the age of three and followed her dreams all the way to the University of West Florida where she studied Musical Theatre. In college, she gained invaluable knowledge and stage experience as both a performer and a choreographer.
Some of her performance credits include productions such as Kiss Me, Kate, 1776, She Loves Me, Beauty & The Beast, Guys & Dolls (Miss Sarah Brown), Footloose, Goblin Market (Lizzie), and Into The Woods, in her favorite role to-date as "The Baker's Wife". Her college choreography credits include musicals Goblin Market and Once On This Island-- a production that earned UWF a 2007 Southeastern Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival finalist nomination. Upon moving from Florida to New Jersey, she has successfully began fostering her budding career as a performer and a choreographer. Lynsey was most recently seen as the seductive suspected-murderess "Miss Scarlet" in Porch Light Theatre's production of Clue, The Musical.
Lynsey also sings, dances, and choreographs for the Manhattan-based cabaret group Hunnie Cabaret, and is currently working on a production of Showtune: Celebrating the Words & Music of Jerry Herman with The Park Players as their choreographer. Lynsey is thrilled to be teaching in a studio setting again; there is a distinct sense of camaraderie and warmth that comes with dancing with a studio like LDAD, and she is incredibly thankful to be joining the staff.
