Linda Rose D’Amico has been studying dance since she was a little
girl. She started off performing as a child in the production of "The
Nutcracker" with the New Jersey Ballet, and was later crowned "Miss
Talent" by National American Miss. She has grown to be a versatile
performing artist and choreographer while still pursuing her BFA in
Dance at Montclair State University. During her studies at Montclair
State, she has had the honor of performing works such as "D-Man in the
Waters" by Bill T. Jones (2007-2008), “Bach and Forward” (2007-2008)
and "Coney Island"(2010-2011) by Maxine Steinman, "To Have and To
Hold" (2009) by Danial Shapiro and Joanie Smith, "Company B" (2011)
by Paul Taylor, as well as many other well known choreographers such
as Jay T. Jenkins, David Parsons, Pearl Primus, as well as others.
Some of her professional credits include being a previous member of "Morph Dance Company" directed by Derek Mitchell, back-up dancing for upcoming artists such as Lori Michaels (broadcasted by CW11) and "Physha P" (including live performances in clubs throughout NYC and on BET’s 106&Park), has performed in music video "Gettin’ paper" choreographed by Tiffeny Wilson, has taken part in a flash mob at Jersey Gardens choreographed by Jay T Jenkins, and is proud to have completed dancing in her first movie experience in the film Vampirifica with Blood River Productions. Along with continuous study in all venues at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in New York City, she has substituted for Derek Mitchell at Broadway Dance Center as well as served as an assistant at National Association of Dance and the Affiliated Arts, and has most recently studied under Nicole Smith with Freespace Dance 2.
